Central Park West Panorama

This app is part of an ongoing collaboration between GuideOne and James Sanders, the noted architect, author and filmmaker. GuideOne designed and produced a very large interactive panoramic view of Central Park South that allows users to use sliders over the image to blend between contemporary photographs (today) and the exact same point of view and location taken during the 1930’s, allowing users to see what has changed and what remains the same.

This particular panorama also features contemporary and vintage photographs of day and night views, all from the same point of view and perspective that the users can blend at will. Featured buildings of Central Park South are clickable and display interesting facts, stories and quotes that help users learn about the history and design of this iconic section of New York.

Using this single scene pilot app, we will be researching a massive archive of photographs to complete a multi-scene app that will be released to the App store.
